Take part in ScreenCraft inaugural script competition

screenCraft is launching its 2015 Short Script competition and seeks fresh talent in short film screenwriting. The contest’s jury includes executives from the Cannes Film Festival, Maker Studios, Vimeo, Slamdance, The Streamy Awards and 3 Arts Entertainment.

Winners receive cash prizes and introductions to Hollywood industry executives.

ScreenCraft is accepting short film screenplays up to 35 pages in length. First place will win $1000 cash, a phone consultation with a literary manager at 3 Arts Entertainment and introductions to the entire jury and top agents.image

Second place will win $500 and a phone consultation with the ScreenCraft creative team.

Short film screenwriting is a format quickly gaining popularity and legitimacy, especially with the growth of branded entertainment and online distribution channels.

While the early deadline is February 10, they will be accepting entries until the final deadline on April 6.

Alice Kharoubi, Director of Cannes Film Festival Short Film Programme
Marc Hustvedt, Founder of the annual Streamy Awards and Tubefilter.com
Jeremy Boxer, Creative Director at Vimeo and Vimeo Festival+Awards
Kamran Kamjou, Senior Director, Maker Studios (a Disney company)
Ari Lubet, Literary Manager, 3 Arts Entertainment Michael Felker, Programmer at Slamdance Film Festival
