Terrence Malick’s “Voyage of time” to close the 35th edition of the Vancouver film Festival

Aisling Walsh’s Maudie, starring Ethan Hawke and Sally Hawkins, is set to open this year’s Vancouver Film Festival, while  Terrence Malick’s documentary, Voyage of Time: The Imax Experience, will close the 35th edition of the fest, which is set to run Sept. 29-Oct. 14.

Maudie stars Hawkins as the arthritic artist who overcame her physical disability to become one of Canada’s most famous folk artists,  Ethan Hawke is playing her husband.

Maudie, a Canada-Ireland co-production which bowed in Telluride, will also screen in Toronto and open the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax before heading to Vancouver. Voyage of Time, narrated by Brad Pitt, will screen in Vancouver after a world premiere in Toronto.
